God has a plan for you!

While God doesn't map out our lives, He certainly did make a plan for us!

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life" (John 3:16).

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men" (John 1:1-4).

"For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly" (Romans 5:6).

Jesus had to die because of our crimes.

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).

"So Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many" (Hebrews 9:28).

"For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him" (2 Corinthians 5:21).

God saves us according to that gift.

"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God" (Ephesians 2:8).

"Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus" (Romans 3:24).

"For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men" (Titus 2:11).

We access God's gift through our trust in His promise to save us.

"But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him" (Hebrews 11:6).

"And being not weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God" (Romans 4:19-20).

"For you are all the sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus" (Galatians 3:26).

Obedience to God's gift and a demonstration of our trust in God come naturally.

"If you love Me, keep My commandments" (John 14:15).

"For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also" (James 2:26).

""For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them" (Ephesians 2:10).

We should begin to obey God.

"Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent" (Acts 17:30).

"I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish" (Luke 13:3, 5).

We should let others know about our commitment to Him.

"Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven" (Matthew 10:32).

"That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).

Letting someone immerse us in water puts us into God's grace.

"And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord" (Acts 22:16).

"There is also an antitype which now saves us - baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God" (1 Peter 3:21).

Having accessed God's grace, we are washed clean by Jesus' blood.

"To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood" (Revelation 1:5b).

"Whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed" (Romans 3:25).

Once cleansed, we must never turn back to our sins.

"Therefore, do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts" (Romans 6:12).

"Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life" (Revelation 2:10).
